The Flood Warning continues for
the Mill Creek near Paxico.
* Until late tonight.
* At 5:01 am Sunday the stage was 27.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
late this afternoon.
* Impact... at 30.0 feet... campsites on west side of campground begin
to flood.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Kansas river at Manhattan.
* Until late Tuesday night.
* At 4:00 am Sunday the stage was 17.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by early this morning and
continue to rise to near 19.4 feet by this afternoon.The river will
fall below flood stage by Tuesday afternoon.
* Impact... at 18.0 feet... low lands along the river flood.

... Flash Flood Watch now in effect through Monday morning...

The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* portions of central Kansas, east central Kansas, north central
Kansas, and northeast Kansas, including the following areas,
in central Kansas, Dickinson. In east central Kansas,
Anderson, Coffey, Douglas, Franklin, Geary, Lyon, Morris,
Osage, Shawnee, and Wabaunsee. In north central Kansas, Clay,
cloud, Ottawa, Republic, and Washington. In northeast Kansas,
Brown, Jackson, Jefferson, Marshall, Nemaha, Pottawatomie, and
Riley.

* Through Monday morning

* scattered to numerous strong thunderstorms are expected late
this evening and through tonight. These storms may produce very
heavy rainfall and flash flooding in a short amount of time,
over an area that is already saturated from heavy rainfall
during the past week.

to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
