The Flood Warning continues for
the Mississippi River at Chester
* until further notice.
* At 10:00 PM Monday the stage was 37.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 27.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* The river is forecast to continue rising to near 38.7 feet by
Sunday evening. Additional rises may be possible thereafter.

... Lake Wind Advisory now in effect from noon today to 9 PM CDT
this evening...

The lake Wind Advisory cover all of southeast Missouri, southern
Illinois, southwest Indiana, and western Kentucky.

* Timing... 1 PM CDT to 9 PM CDT.

* Winds... sustained 15 to 20 mph with occasional gusts of 25 to 30
mph, locally stronger along and west of the Mississippi River.

* Impacts... small water craft may encounter choppy waters. Winds
from approaching thunderstorms over southeast Missouri may
increase winds on waterways during the late afternoon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
