The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
southern Linn County in east central Kansas...
southeastern Chariton County in north central Missouri...
Randolph County in north central Missouri...
Henry County in west central Missouri...
Bates County in west central Missouri...
Pettis County in central Missouri...
Howard County in central Missouri...
Saline County in central Missouri...
Cooper County in central Missouri...
southeastern Johnson County in west central Missouri...

* until 1115 am CDT Friday.

* At 1108 am CDT, emergency management officials continue to report
flooding across the warned area. One to three inches of rain fell
Wednesday night and several rounds of rain are expected again over
the weekend.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Sedalia, Warrensburg, Moberly, Marshall, Clinton, Boonville,
Butler, Windsor, Knob Noster, Fayette, Slater, Salisbury,
Huntsville, Sweet Springs, Rich Hill, Pleasanton, Glasgow, Mound
City, Whiteman Air Force Base and La Monte.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Missouri River at Boonville.
* Until Monday June 03.
* At 9:30 am Thursday the stage was 30.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 32.0 feet by
Friday morning. The river will remain above flood stage through
next week.
* At 31.7 feet... flooding near rural and Hart streets in Boonville.
* At 30.0 feet... the Missouri-Pacific Railroad tracks on the south
side of the river flood.
* At 25.0 feet... numerous farm levees are overtopped. Flooding of
agricultural land and secondary roads occurs.
* At 21.0 feet... low-lying rural areas along the river flood.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Missouri River at Glasgow.
* Until Monday June 03.
* At 9:30 am Thursday the stage was 35.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 35.7 feet by this
evening. The river will begin a slow fall and remain above flood
stage through next week.
* At 32.0 feet... highways and gravel roads in low-lying areas near
Glasgow are under water, including State Highway 240 west of
Glasgow. The City Park in Glasgow also begins to flood.
* At 27.0 feet... many agricultural levees are overtopped. Widespread
flooding of rural areas occurs. Secondary roads and homes behind
levees may be inundated.
* At 25.0 feet... farmland along the river floods.
