The National Weather Service in North Platte has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
northern Brown County in north central Nebraska...

* until 1145 am CDT Friday.

* At 241 am CDT, the Nebraska department of natural resources
reported water from the Plum Creek flowing over the Pine Canyon
dam. At this time, the dam has not failed.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
bobcat State Wildlife Management Area.

Flood waters are moving down Plum Creek.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Stay away from Plum Creek. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.
