Issued: 3:48 PM CDT May. 19, 2019 – National Weather Service

through Tuesday evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of southwest Iowa and southeast Nebraska, including
the following areas, in southwest Iowa, Fremont, Mills, and
Page. In southeast Nebraska, Cass, gage, Jefferson, Johnson,
Lancaster, Nemaha, Otoe, Pawnee, Richardson, and Saline.

* From Monday afternoon through Tuesday evening

* several rounds of thunderstorms are expected Monday afternoon
through 7pm Tuesday. Total rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches
will be possible during this period. This rainfall will fall
on already saturated soils, increasing the potential for flash
flooding.

the dangers of flash flooding. Areas near rivers, creeks, and
streams could become flooded during and immediately after
heavy rainfall.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
