Flood Warning
Issued: 9:46 AM CDT May. 24, 2019 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Washita river at Anadarko.

* From this afternoon until further notice... or until the warning is
cancelled.

* At 9:30 am Friday the stage was 18.9 feet.

* Minor flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

* Forecast... the Washita river will rise above flood stage by early
Friday afternoon and crest near 20.7 feet Tuesday evening.

* Impact... at 21.0 feet... floodwaters damage farm property... block
many rural roads... and breach farm levees along the Washita river
in eastern Caddo and western Grady counties.

The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Canadian river near Bridgeport.

* From late tonight to Monday afternoon... or until the warning is
cancelled.

* At 8:30 am Friday the stage was 13.8 feet.

* Minor flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.

* Forecast... the Canadian river will rise above flood stage early
Saturday morning and crest near 15.8 feet early Sunday morning. The
Canadian river will fall below flood stage late Monday morning.

* Impact... at 16.0 feet... flooding affects croplands... pastures...
and oil Wells near the river. Flood plain fields at higher
elevations away from the river may be cut off from easy access by
high water in side channels. Sand dredging operations are affected.
Upstream points in southern Blaine County may see flooding before
the areas near Bridgeport in northern Caddo County. Downstream
points in southwestern Canadian County are affected hours later.
