Watches & Warnings

Flash Flood Watch
Issued: 3:54 AM EDT Jul. 22, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Flash Flood Watch now in effect through this evening...

The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* a portion of southwest Pennsylvania, including the following
areas, Fayette, Fayette ridges, and Greene.

* Through this evening

* showers and storms will move through the area again today. Any
storms will be capable of producing rain heavy enough to cause
flooding. Many locations in the watch area experienced heavy
rain and flooding Sunday and Sunday night, meaning streams are
running high and the ground is saturated. It will not take much
additional rainfall to cause flooding under these conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
