Flood Warning
Issued: 9:49 AM CDT May. 21, 2019 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Big Cypress bayou at Caddo Lake near Mooringsport, Louisiana.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 6:00 am Tuesday the pool stage was 173.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood pool stage is 172 feet.
* Forecast... the lake will continue to fall to a stage of 173.2 feet
by Wednesday morning.
* Impact... at 173.0 feet... several secondary access roads will become
flooded and travel will be difficult especially in and around
uncertain, Texas.

... The Flood Warning extended until Friday evening... the Flood
Warning continues for
the Black Cypress Bayou at Jefferson, Texas.
* From late Monday night to Friday evening... or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 9:00 am Sunday the stage was 12.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Tuesday morning and continue
to rise to near 13.5 feet by Wednesday morning. The Bayou will fall
below flood stage by early Friday morning.
* Impact... at 13.0 feet... lowland flooding will affect mainly Timber
resources.

Lake Wind Advisory
Issued: 4:03 PM CDT May. 21, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM CDT this
evening...

* event... south to southeast winds around 20 to 25 mph with higher
gusts to continue through the afternoon and early evening hours
in response to a strong area of surface low pressure in the
plains.

* Timing... elevated winds will continue through early this evening.


* Impact... boaters on area lakes should exercise caution due to
rough chop from higher winds.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
