This is one image, not a composite. I used a small aperture (for the time of day) of F11 and an ISO of 400 to prevent the fireworks from being blown out, and then a long 30 second to get the color in the sky. Looking back on it, I think a doubled exposure time of 60 seconds, a halved ISO of 200 and the same f11 aperture would've been better as it would've kept the same sky brightness, but darkened the fireworks.

Hi, as of February, 2012 I'm 14 years old and have been taking pictures for a long time, but only really got interested in photography in about April of 2011. I used a Sony DSC-HX5 point-and-shoot for about 7 months, but now I use a Canon Rebel T2i DSLR and what an improvement, especially in low light high ISO performance! I'm always open to suggestions, comments and questions, and I hope you enjoy my photos! |
