Outstanding photojournalism, Tim! According to Jeff Masters' WunderBlog Texas had the driest year on record! I join you in hoping 2012 will be much better!

A very sobering image. My hope is also for a much better 2012 for all the areas that were affected.

Another AWESOME depiction of the drought, Tim! Wow, what an eloquent capture! 10! It looks like the blow dirt has been piling up in this spot since the 30's. I need to find a publisher for that coffee table book I'm planning for your photos!! :)

Congratulations on a fantastic and well deserved AC!!

About docshovel39
docshovel39 Hello , my name is Tim . I live in the small farming community of Ropesville , Texas with my wife and photo partner Sherry . I got involved with photography because of my older brother Steve - a fantastic photographer who lives outside of Seattle , WA . My favorite work , apart from his , is a terrific book entitled " Ghosts in the Wilderness " by Tony and Eva Worobiec . It captures the remains of small , abandoned rural communities across the Midwest , much of it shot in black and white . I also have become a fan of photographer Jim McGuire . His black and white shots ( nashvilleportraits.com) are amazing . Thank you for your comments and have a GREAT day !
