Wowser! So close to those homes. Sure hope they can keep it away from the houses.
So Horrible throughout the western states. We have lost a lot of homes here in NM, but Colorado is worse right now, especially Colo Spgs & Boulder.
Montana is very bad situations with fires also.
Thank you for sharing this bad news. Congrats on the VIP!

I don't know how you kept your composure enough to hold the camera still in the face of this conflagration! It's a compelling photo, but not one I ever want to see in person! Prayers for everyone, everywhere there are fires burning.

It always seems to be something... tornadoes, hurricanes, drought in Texas last year, now fires throughout the western states...People put so much heart into their homes, then in a short time everything could be lost. I feel so sorry for those familes...

thank you all so much. Tonight it was said that 66 families lost their homes in this fire. also 19 structures were destroyed in the fire. we do need the rain horribly bad. my heart goes out to everyone in the US who is going through something tonight, weather it may be fire, tornado, flooding, etc. stay strong!

A very dramatic, frightening shot...EXCELLENT!
I had to post it on Facebook for others to see.
Fire scares me worse than any other weather disaster, even hurricanes.
My heart goes out to all in those wretched fires.
