Southeast wind 5 to 15 knots rising to 10 to 20 knots late in the morning, then becoming 15 to 20 knots in the afternoon. Snow likely late in the afternoon. Waves around 1 foot building to 4 to 6 feet.
Tonight
Southeast wind 15 to 25 knots veering south early in the morning. Gusts up to 35 knots. Snow through the night. Rain and freezing rain after midnight. Waves 4 to 6 feet building to 7 to 9 feet in the late evening and overnight.
Saturday
South wind 15 to 20 knots with gusts to around 25 knots veering southwest with gusts to around 25 knots late in the morning, then becoming west up to 30 knots with gusts to around 35 knots in the afternoon. Rain and snow in the morning, then chance of rain and slight chance of snow in the afternoon. Waves 6 to 8 feet subsiding to 3 to 4 feet.
Saturday Night
West wind up to 30 knots. Gusts up to 40 knots. Heavy freezing spray. Waves 3 to 4 feet. Wave heights are for ice free areas.

knots with gusts up to 30 knots and waves 3 to 6 feet expected.
For the Gale Warning, southeast gales to 35 knots later this
evening and overnight, veering to west gales to 40 knots for
Saturday afternoon and night. Waves building to 7 to 9 feet
tonight into Saturday morning, then subsiding to 2 to 4 feet for
Saturday afternoon and night.

* Where... nearshore waters of Lake Michigan from Sheboygan WI to
Winthrop Harbor IL.

* When... for the Small Craft Advisory, from 2 PM to 8 PM CST
Friday. For the Gale Warning, from 8 PM Friday to 3 am CST
Sunday.

* Impacts... strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe Harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for severe conditions.
