Special Statement
Issued: 6:49 AM AKST Nov. 22, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Slippery roads across interior Alaska today...

Above freezing temperatures have spread over the eastern interior
south of Fort Yukon and Tanana this morning due to strong Chinook
winds blowing over the Alaska Range. Although the Chinook winds
will limit the chance of precipitation today, if there is any
precipitation it could start as light freezing rain before
changing to snow. If there is freezing rain today, it should leave
only a trace of ice. The chance of light freezing rain today is
30 percent.

Roads today will be slippery across the interior due to the warm
temperatures. Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing by
late tonight.
